Why We Are Building LIUMIQ
Hair loses its color slowly, so we think the time to act is while the color is still there. What LIUMIQ is exploring, what we do not claim, and why.

Hair does not lose its color in one day. It happens a few strands at a time, over years, and most people only notice it in stages. LIUMIQ started from one question: if color goes slowly, why does every option wait until it is gone?
The gap we keep seeing
Today there are two ways to deal with gray hair, and both start after the fact. You can dye it, which covers the gray until the roots grow out, or you can let it go. Our guide to the ways to cover gray hair walks through everything in the first group, and caring for gray hair covers the second.
Neither option is about the years before. Hair keeps making its own color for a long time, and then, one follicle at a time, it stops. That window is what we are interested in. Our guide on why hair turns gray explains what is known about it, from how hair gets its color to what drives the timing.
What we are exploring
LIUMIQ is an early-stage concept built around one idea: helping hair keep its natural color for longer. The goals we are designing toward are simple to say and hard to do:
- Start early. Something for the years when the color is still there, not for after it is gone.
- Your own color. No dye and no new shade. The aim is to help hair keep the color it already makes.
- Gradual. Gray arrives a few strands at a time, so we are designing for steady use over years, not a quick fix.
These are design goals. They are not test results. We do not have a finished formula, and we will not describe results we have not seen.
What we are not claiming
This matters as much as the list above.
We are not saying LIUMIQ prevents gray hair, and we are not saying it brings color back. Hair that has already lost its pigment is a different problem, and what science says about color returning is honest about how rare that is. Whether our idea works at all is a question we still have to answer with evidence. Until we have it, the only honest word for LIUMIQ is "concept."
We are also not making promises. There is no bottle to buy, no subscription, and no miracle formula. Anyone who tells you a product is proven to stop gray hair, without showing you the evidence, is selling something we would not put our name on.
Why we started with a waitlist
It would be easier to stay quiet until there is a product. We chose not to, for two reasons.
First, we want to know who wants this. A waitlist is the most honest way to find out. If nobody joins, that tells us something. If people join and write to us about what they want, that shapes the work.
Second, we want to share the work as it happens. Not marketing, just updates: what we tried, what changed, what is next. The people on the list will hear about major steps before anyone else.
What to expect from this blog
While the formula is in development, this site will publish plain, sourced writing about gray hair. Why it happens. What the options are. How to care for it, dyed or not. We check every fact against a real source and list those sources at the bottom of each page. We do not use the blog to sell, and we do not make claims about LIUMIQ here beyond the ones on this page.
If that sounds useful, the three guides are the place to start: Why Hair Turns Gray, Ways to Cover Gray Hair, and Caring for Gray Hair.
LIUMIQ is an early-stage concept exploring how hair might keep its natural color for longer. It is in development and not for sale. Join the waitlist to follow the work.
Questions
No. LIUMIQ is an early-stage concept in development, and there is no product for sale. The waitlist is the only thing you can join right now.
We do not claim either. We are exploring whether hair can keep its natural color for longer, and we have no test results yet. We will not describe results we have not seen.
Because we want to know who wants this before we finish the formula. The waitlist tells us that, and it lets us share progress with the people who care.
